Our Policies

Custom Orders:

All deposits and payments made on custom orders and work are not refundable, nor returnable.   
Remember, these items are made to the dimensions of YOUR fireplace.
Every fireplace and person's decor are different. This is why accuracy of your order and dimensions are extremely important for a product you will be happy with.  

Orders with ETA's of two weeks or less must be paid in full.  There are no exceptions.

All railing orders MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO RAILING(S) BEING INSTALLED.!
If you are paying the day of your installation YOU MUST BE THERE TO PAY YOUR BILL prior to the railings being installed!
There are absolutely no exceptions.(If you are not there or do not have payment ready, your railings will NOT be installed!)

It is prefered that deposits and balances be paid by check rather than credit card.

Credit Card Policy:

If you are planning to put your deposit/balance on a credit/debit card it is preferable that you
do that at one of our locations in person so that your card can be swiped or chip read at one of our physical retail locations.

Check policy:

We gladly accept checks,as long as your name & mailing address are printed
on the check.  You will be asked to provide us with a up to date phone number as well.

If your check is returned for any reason, know you are responsible for all bank fees plus
payment/fee due us.  For more details on this please call our main office in Hyannis.
There is a $35.00 fee on all returned checks.

Returns:

If you are not satisfied with the stock item(s) you've ordered/purchased
(excluding custom made or custom orders),
you may return the item within ten (10) business days.
Your item(s) should be in the original protective wrapping and box(s), if provided,
along with the assembly directions and must be accompanied by your sales receipt.
(If you do not have your receipt, a store exchange or store credit will be allowed.)

Please be advised if you paid by check, your check must have cleared before we can issue said refund.
(This usually takes five to ten business banking days.)

Online Purchase Returns:

Please be aware that if you ordered online via one of our web sources restocking fees may apply!

Ship the product to: Cape Cod Fireplace Shop, Inc.  218 Schoosett Street, Rte. 139,Pembroke, Ma. 02359.
or 690 Yarmouth Road, Hyannis, Ma. 02601

Ship the item(s) through either UPS (United Parcel Service) or USPS (United States Parcel Service).
Both offer insurance on items shipped and can be tracked to ensure delivery.

Customers are responsible for any shipping fees of the returned or exchanged item(s)
if not returned in person. You may return your item(s) to either of our locations.

Please contact us ahead of time, at either (781) 829-2252 or (508) 775-2511 to alert us of your return.
When we have received your item and verify all its contents, we will promptly authorize credit.

Refunds:

Refunds will be issued only if your receipt is accompanied by the unused item(s) being returned.
Your refund will be given/issued in only the same tender as it was purchased.

We do not give refunds on/for gift certificates as a regular practice.
Under extenuating circumstances only, governed by the owner
do we ever refund a gift certificate!
If the owner governs a refund, make note:  It is only refunded to the actual purchaser and not to the Giftee!

Service calls/Measuring Fees:

We do not refund measuring fees, or deposits for custom orders/work, or any type of service call.

Measuring:  It is preferable for you to provide us with which door style,and options your are interested in
as well as rough measurements of your opening.  This way we can provide you with at 30 day quote, and
you can decide whether you wish to proceed.  If you choose to proceed we require a deposit of half prior
to us coming out to your official measuring appointment.

Should you choose to have a measuring appointment without a quote/estimate you will be responsible for a measuring fee. That fee is dependent upon the location of the measuring job.
This fee is not refunded or credited toward your order/purchase.

Exchanges:

We are more than happy to exchange an unused item for you.
It is preferred you have your sales receipt with you.

We do realize that many of our customers travel a great distance to do business with us.
Therefore if you are not a year round resident we will do our best to accommodate your exchange needs.
Meaning we will usually grant an exchange past our ten business day return policy.
We will usually grant a thirty day calendar exchange time frame. Please call one of
stores and speak to a management team member to arrange these types of exchanges.

Gift Certificate Policy:

We suggest using your Gift Certificates with in two years time, as they are apt to be forgotten about, or lost!
Gift certificates are only redeemable to the person(s) they have been issued for.
You can not transfer to another Giftee.

When you redeem your gift certificate please make sure you have a valid picture ID with you.
To redeem a lost gift certificate you must present the original purchaser receipt. Copies are not acceptable!

We do not reissue lost gift certificates!

Service calls on products we sell only:

Should you miss your scheduled service call you are still responsible for the service call fee!

Should you require a service call, please be aware that our base service fee starts at $ 75.00.
Price depends on service zone.
You are responsible for this appointment fee prior to or at time of service.  No exceptions.
This does not include parts and or labor for said repair(s).
Payment is by cash or check, and is expected at the time of service.
There is a $35.00 fee for any returned checks.

Privacy Policy:

We value your privacy, just as we do our very own. We, at Cape Cod Fireplace,
will not share/sell information we obtain from you with unrelated third parties (except as required by law).

Please be aware that we do use cookies, and at times pixels. These are used for tracking, target marketing and analytic purposes. This also helps us to make/improve our visitors  and guests browsing experience while visiting our "Web Gallery".  Our site is a "Gallery" of items we make, stock, carry, service we offer and other brands we may offer, for the most part, and not an online shopping site.  This means there are no logins or accounts, (except if you join our mailing or blog) list which keeps your private financial information just that.. private.

From time to time we may offer small items that can be shipped easily for purchase via a Paypal buy button. Again your financial information is not something we collect or keep on our host provider (BlueHost) server.

We do use the following, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Smart Ads, MailChimp, Formidble and Facebook.   We use Wordpress for our blog. 

Any of our Newsletter, Emailing Lists, and Blog subsciptions sign up forms are done through our third party associates. Subscribers are welcome to unsubscribe at any time.
